This marks the fifteenth year of the lecture series, “The Epic of Creation,” and also of the work of the Epic series designer, Thomas Gilbert, and his work at LSTC and the Zygon Center.  Since this year also marks his retirement from the Epic project (Gayle Woloschak is the new director), it seems appropriate that the seminar this year focus on Gilbert and the project.  We will ask the question, “Where does this project lead us?”  This question will be interpreted in different ways by different commentators, and the whole of the discussion will serve as a benchmark for interpreting Gilbert’s achievement in the Epic, as well as for thinking about the future of the Epic series.  Tom has written a theme paper to initiate the discussion, and he will be a responder at each session.  This paper is available on request from the Zygon Center.  The basic text of the seminar is the Epic Syllabus, which is also available (for purchase)
from the Center.

The lectures are free and open to the  public. Individual lectures are self-contained and can be followed without attending all.  The series may be taken for course credit.  For details, call (773) 256 0670.
