Inspired by the success of our first workshop and responding to the persisting challenge of the disease, we welcome you to the 2nd Annual HIV/AIDS Workshop for Medical and Religious Professionals.

Midwest AIDS Training and Edcuation Center (MATEC)
The Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center is a federally funded center, providing AIDS and HIV training to health care and social service professionals in seven states. MATEC's mission is to increase the number of health care providers who are effectively educated and motivated to prevent, diagnose, treat, and manage HIV infection. MATEC is based at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work.

Zygon Center for Religion and Science (ZCRS)
The Zygon Center for Religion and Science was established in 1988 as a partnership program of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and the Center for Advanced Studies in Religion and Science (CASIRAS). The purpose of the Center is to bring together scientists, theologians, and other scholars to discuss and carry out research on basic questions and issues of human concern that include how we understand the world in which we live and our place in that world and how the joint reflection of scientists, philosophers, and theologians can contribute to the welfare of the human community.
HIV Care Program of the Research & Education Foundation of the Michael Reese Medical Staff
The HIV Care Program is a comprehensive, primary care and multi-specialty program for persons with HIV disease. Its purpose is to provide a continuum of care at no cost to the client.
