Where will the Student Symposium be held?

It will all take place at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). Below is our address and a map:

How do we get to the Student Symposium?

If you are flying, we recommend Midway Airport (MDW), which is much closer to LSTC than O’Hare Airport (ORD). From Midway Airport to LSTC, please allow at least 45 minutes travel time (and $25 fare if by taxi cab or $2.25 by bus); from O’Hare Airport to LSTC, please allow at least 90 minutes travel time (and $50 fare if by taxi cab or $2.50 by train and bus). What housing is available?

LSTC has convenient guest housing available right next to campus ($55 for an individual or $85 for a family in the conference center, $120 for a one-bedroom apartment or $150 for a two-bedroom apartment). Linens and towels are provided. Please email the LSTC Front Desk at if you would like to make a reservation. Participants are responsible for their own housing costs.

Are there meals provided during the Symposium?

A light breakfast, lunch, mid-afternoon snack and evening happy hour will be served the day of the symposium. Lunch is discounted, and the rest is provided, if you have registered for the Symposium.

Following the Symposium, we recommend attendees gather together in small groups for dinner and conversation at nearby restaurants. A helpful list can be found here: We will also recommend places to eat during Happy Hour.
