The team here at the Zygon Center has been busy working these past few months getting ready for something exciting to emerge in February! On Friday, February 27th we will host our 6th Student Symposium on Science and Spirituality, entitled “Religion, Science, and Technology: Emerging Questions for the Next Generation.” We wanted to take a moment to invite you to register to be a part of these exciting conversations.
The increasing role technology plays in our interactions with the world is undeniable. With fast and rapid growth in technology surrounding communications, how we interact with our ecological environment, energy consumption, medical advances, new questions emerge almost daily for us. As we continue in our mission of engaging questions, encouraging creativity, and exploring connections between religion and science, we will begin to explore some of these new issues together during a day-long symposium at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
A diverse range of speakers will present on their latest research into some of these questions, inviting participation and discussion as we navigate these new fields with excitement. Our presenters will include not only a diversity of academic discipline, age, religious identification, and topic, but we also will have a strong presence of international scholars bringing their voice to the table!
We invite you to join us for a day that promises to be rich in conversation, thought, and explorations of the next “Big Questions” for generations to come.
